We are training a new generation of scientists with the skills to ‘bridge the gap’ between psychiatry and neuroscience.
Fighting developmental brain disorders requires consistent complementary advances in clinical psychiatry and fundamental neuroscience, but these disciplines are rarely integrated into most research programmes. We are contributing to ‘bridging the gap’ between neurology, psychiatry and neuroscience by training a new generation of biomedical research leaders who are comfortable working alongside researchers from other disciplines and are equipped with the skills required to tackle the big challenges that exist in neuroscience and mental health. To achieve this goal, we offer PhD studentships and clinical training fellowships, and we organise focussed symposia and seminars.
