Sharing our research work with the public and the wider world is a crucial part of our mission. Researchers at the MRC CNDD engage with the general public on various levels, we are involved in a variety of outreach activities throughout the year such as, hosting summer research students, running in-school activities and participating in science festivals.
Want to do a work experience?
Are you an A-level or equivalent student? This is a great appotunity to work alongside researchers in our laboratories and learn the fundamental and cutting edge techniques that the scientists in our Centre use to study the the biological mechanisms underlying developmental brain disorders. If you are interested in applying for a work experience in our Centre, please fill in our online form. We particularly welcome applications from students from under-represented groups.
Want to visit our Centre?
We welcome prospective students, school groups and teachers to the Centre. It is a chance for pupils to see what a science research job is like. The visits last approximately two hours and include a presentation by a member of staff and a tour of the laboratories and research facilities. To register an interest, please fill in our online form.
