Stefania Boscolo studied Italian, French, German and English at the Institute of Higher Education Pietro Scalcerle, Italy. In 1998, Stefania moved to the UK to attain the Cambridge English First certificate (FCE); She then continued her studies and also holds a Diploma in Administration for Executive Assistants (DAEA) from the Institute of Administrative Management (IAM).
Stefania joined Kings College London in 2002. She supported Professor Antonio Simone and his team in her role as secretary, mainly administering grants, preparing reports, forecasting and managing budgets.
In 2004 Stefania was invited to join the MRC Centre for Developmental Neurobiology administration team as Centre Secretary and PA of assistant director Professor Ivor Mason. In this role, she provided core administration and was involved in grant administration, financial procedures, seminar organisation, support to faculty members and PA to assistant director. Furthermore, in 2009, Stefania also became the PhD administrator for the MRC Centre for Developmental Neurobiology. In this role, Stefania supports the Centre PhD coordinators for the PhD programme and is in charge of handling advertisement, selection and overall smooth running of the MRC Programme.
In 2015 Stefania was promoted to Centre Administrator for the Centre for Developmental Neurobiology. In this role, Stefania continues to deliver great support to the Centre dealing with core administration, HR admin, grant administration, finance support, seminar organisation and with a great involvement in event management. The latter includes national and international event organised both in London and abroad.
