Biography:
I graduated with a BSc(Hons) in genetics from University College Cork in 2013. I then completed an MSc degree in biotechnology at the University of Edinburgh. My research project focused on the developmental origin of various childhood cancers, with particular emphasis on implementing gene-editing techniques for improved modelling of these diseases in animal models.
In 2015, I joined the Clarke lab as a research assistant, where my primary objective is the development of a gene-editing project to study the mechanisms of zebrafish brain morphogenesis.
