Robert Hindges wins Supervisory Excellence Award 2025 for IoPPN

08/12/25

Congratulations to Prof Robert Hindges, who has been awarded the King’s Supervisory Excellence Award 2025 for the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN).

These awards have been running annually since 2006, as part of King’s efforts to acknowledge the excellent level of supervision provided at the university and promote and disseminate best practice in supervision. Each faculty winner will receive £1000 towards professional development.

The Supervisory Excellence Award faculty winners are selected by a judging panel, from nominations from doctoral students and staff across King’s College London. This year, over 300 nominations were received.

I’m delighted to be this year’s winner for the Supervisory Excellence Award for the IoPPN. Supervision and supporting the next generation of scientists to deliver their projects and preparing them for their future career -in research or elsewhere- is such an important part of academia and it’s an honour to have the value of supervision recognised across the university.” – Robert Hindges
