The Centre for Developmental Neurobiology today joined the King’s-wide support for the Global Climate Strike, holding our own #ClimateStrike as both a call to action and to launch our Green Neuro Team.
Millions of climate strikers in schools internationally have been leaving their classrooms each Friday to force people to sit up and notice the impact we are having on our planet. The rest of us are now called to join them in the Global Climate Strike. Everyone will be spending their time differently with some people protesting, some people taking action and others spreading information. All those involved are taking a stand and making their voices heard.
In our Centre, we left the lab and left our desks for half an hour this morning to meet and talk about what we can do as a Centre and as individuals to make a difference. The Centre’s new Green Neuro Team was introduced, comprising Andrea Szydlo, Aida Platero Luengo and Alicia Hanusz Godoy. Plans are afoot and we are determined that together, we can make a change.
We are all in this together and we are all responsible for our climate. Let’s help each other to find a better way for the future.
